Hirova terms of service
Effective date: 2026-10-13
1. Who we are and this agreement
Hirova is provided by Marcos Jaen, an individual business established in Spain.
- Location: Langreo, Asturias, Spain.
- Business tax identifier: 54680961W.
- Support and complaints: support@hirova.app.
These terms govern the Hirova service. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data and is not a request for blanket consent. Where a function needs your permission, we ask for it separately.
The downloadable iOS app is licensed under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. That licence governs your right to install and use the app and takes precedence for app-licence matters. These terms govern our hosted resume-writing service and do not reduce rights under that licence, Apple's applicable purchase terms or mandatory law. Your purchase is also subject to the Apple Media Services terms applicable to your storefront.
You can save or print these terms before accepting them. You accept them when you create an account or use the service after being given the opportunity to read them. The effective date at the top identifies the version that applies to you.
2. Age, account and device requirements
You must be at least 16 to use Hirova. The app does not ask your age; it relies on the App Store's age rating and, where a US state law requires it, on the age range you choose to share through Apple (see the privacy policy). If you are under the age at which you can make this agreement or authorise a purchase where you live, your parent or legal guardian must approve your use and purchase. A parent or guardian must not use this provision to create an account for a child under 16.
You need a compatible iOS device, the iOS version listed on the App Store, an internet connection for online functions, and an Apple Account for App Store purchases. You may sign in using Sign in with Apple, Google or an email code. Protect access to your sign-in account and do not share sign-in codes. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. What Hirova provides
Hirova helps you organise resume facts, answer an AI interview, rewrite resume bullets, tailor a resume to a job posting, draft cover letters and export documents. Optional weekly suggestions are available only when you enable them. Hirova is a writing tool for your own applications. It is not an employer, recruitment agency, hiring decision service or professional legal, immigration or career adviser.
Each user is eligible for one free basic PDF without starting a paid subscription or free trial. Paid feature entitlements and any usage limits are shown in the app before purchase. We will not impose an undisclosed limit on a feature advertised as unlimited. A trial is separate from the free basic PDF.
AI functions use OpenAI's API through Cloudflare AI Gateway. We ask for permission before sending personal data to that provider. If you decline or later withdraw permission, AI functions stop, including weekly suggestions, but you can still import, access, manually edit, export and delete your documents within the normal feature limits. See the privacy policy for the information shared and provider retention.
4. Your content and AI output
You keep the rights you have in the information and documents you provide. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, transmit to the disclosed providers and format that content only as needed to deliver the service you request, protect it and comply with law. This permission ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for the limited legal retention described in our privacy policy. It does not let us publish your resume, sell it or train a general-purpose AI model on it.
As between you and us, you may use and edit the output for your own purposes. To the extent we have transferable rights in the output, we assign those rights to you. AI output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection. We cannot grant rights that belong to someone else.
You must have the right to provide the content you upload. Do not include another person's private information, confidential employer material or material you are not permitted to share. Do not upload sensitive information excluded by our privacy policy. Do not use the service to fabricate qualifications, impersonate someone, make fraudulent applications, infringe rights, bypass security, or disrupt the service.
PDFs exported from Hirova carry a machine-readable marker, in the file's metadata, that they contain text generated with AI, as the EU AI Act requires. The marker names the AI system and model, not you. Do not remove or alter it to present a document as written without AI.
5. Accuracy and no employment guarantee
AI can invent facts, omit important details, introduce bias or produce inappropriate wording. You must check every generated statement against your actual experience before using it. You decide what to include and where to submit it. We do not submit applications or send documents to employers for you.
We do not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, salary increases or any other hiring outcome. We do not guarantee that a resume will pass, rank highly in, or be accepted by every applicant tracking system. Formatting and wording assistance cannot predict an employer's system or decision. Any example shown in marketing is an illustration, not a promised result.
These limits describe what the product can do. They do not remove our duty to provide the service with the quality, functionality and care required by applicable consumer law, or your remedies if it does not conform to the contract.
6. Plans, trial and automatic renewal
All subscriptions are purchased through Apple's in-app purchase system. RevenueCat helps us verify subscriptions and provide access; it does not separately charge you.
| Plan | US reference price | Trial | Renewal |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | US $19.99 per month | No free trial | Automatically renews each month until cancelled |
| Annual | US $79.99 per year, billed as one annual payment | A 7-day free trial for users Apple identifies as eligible | Converts to a paid annual subscription after the trial and automatically renews each year until cancelled |
The price, currency, applicable taxes, trial eligibility, billing period and renewal terms displayed by Apple before you confirm the purchase are the terms for your transaction. Local storefront prices may differ from the US reference prices. If you are not eligible for a trial, Apple displays the payable price before confirmation. We do not describe the annual plan as a monthly subscription merely because an equivalent monthly figure is shown.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at purchase confirmation, or at the end of an eligible free trial. Unless you cancel, Apple may charge for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal or the trial ends to avoid the next charge. The exact renewal or trial-end date appears in your Apple subscription settings.
The paid annual subscription is charged in full after the trial; it is not a monthly instalment plan. Apple determines introductory-offer eligibility under its subscription-group rules. We provide any renewal, trial-conversion or price-change notices that applicable law requires and that Apple does not provide on our behalf. Necessary subscription notices are separate from optional marketing.
7. Cancellation, restoration and deletion
You can stop automatic renewal at any time through Hirova > Settings > Subscription > Manage subscription, or on your iPhone through Settings > your name > Subscriptions > Hirova > Cancel Subscription. You can also use Apple's subscription management page. No telephone call to us is required.
Cancellation stops future renewal. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period. Cancelling a free trial may end access immediately under Apple's applicable rules. Cancellation does not automatically refund a previous payment. Your statutory withdrawal and refund rights are separate and remain available.
If a valid purchase is not showing, choose Restore purchases in Hirova while signed in with the Apple Account used for that purchase. Contact us if access is still missing.
Deleting the app or your Hirova account does not cancel an Apple subscription. The account-deletion screen offers the subscription-management link, but you can delete your account immediately without first cancelling. After deletion, the documents in that account cannot be restored by restoring a purchase. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account.
8. Refunds and consumer withdrawal rights
Apple handles App Store payment refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple Support. Contact support@hirova.app if a service problem prevents you from using what you purchased or you need help exercising your rights. We will not refuse a right owed by us merely because Apple processes payment.
If you are an EU or EEA consumer, you normally have 14 days from concluding a distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason. The law distinguishes digital content from continuing digital services. For digital content not supplied on a physical medium, the withdrawal right can be lost after supply begins only where the required prior express consent, acknowledgement of that loss and contract confirmation have been provided. Starting a continuing subscription service does not by itself waive the right for the entire service. For a service started at your express request during the withdrawal period, a proportionate charge is possible only where the legal conditions have been met. A service withdrawal right is lost on full performance only where the law's express-consent and acknowledgement conditions are satisfied.
Apple's storefront terms and checkout explain the cancellation and immediate-supply rules for your purchase. These terms do not impose an additional automatic waiver. For example, Apple's Spain terms provide a withdrawal route through Apple Account > Purchase History > the order > "Desistir de la Transacción", or an unequivocal notice to rightofwithdrawal@apple.com. Use the route in the terms for your storefront and contact Apple promptly within the applicable period. Notify us if your request concerns our service. Where a statutory withdrawal refund is due, it is made within the applicable legal period, ordinarily 14 days from the withdrawal notice, using the original payment method without a refund fee. You may use the model withdrawal form or any clear statement; use of the form is optional.
Consumers elsewhere retain withdrawal, cancellation, conformity, repair, price-reduction, termination and refund rights that their applicable law provides. A statement elsewhere in the app that payments are handled by Apple does not restrict those rights.
9. Changes, interruption and ending the service
We may make changes needed for security, legal compliance, compatibility, maintenance and reasonable improvements. We will not remove a material paid feature during a paid period without providing any notice, alternative, termination right or refund required by law. We provide required security and conformity updates for the period required by law. Install them promptly; we explain any consequences of not installing an update.
We may temporarily restrict an account where necessary to address a serious security threat, unlawful use or a material breach of these terms. We use a proportionate response and normally explain the reason and allow you to resolve the issue, unless doing so would be unlawful or create a security risk. Contact support to challenge a restriction. A restriction does not itself cancel Apple billing, so we will explain subscription consequences and help resolve payments for service we cannot provide.
If we discontinue the service, we will give reasonable advance notice, allow export where practicable, stop offering unavailable subscriptions and cooperate with Apple on cancellation and refunds required by law. We cannot keep charging for a service we no longer provide.
For material changes to these terms, we give advance notice and the effective date. Changes do not apply retrospectively to remove accrued rights. Price changes follow Apple's notification and consent procedures and applicable law. You may stop renewing if you do not accept a future change, without losing mandatory remedies for an existing paid period.
10. Responsibility and complaints
We are responsible for performing our obligations under these terms and applicable law. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, a data-protection obligation, or any liability that the law does not permit us to exclude. We do not impose a blanket waiver of consumer remedies or a mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver.
You are responsible for decisions you make using accurate or inaccurate drafts, subject to our own duties and any liability the law places on us. If something goes wrong, contact support@hirova.app with the problem and the information needed to identify your account or purchase. Do not email a full resume unless it is necessary to investigate the issue. We will acknowledge the complaint and explain the next steps.
11. Governing law and courts
Spanish law governs these service terms. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of the country where you habitually live. You may bring a claim before any court that applicable consumer law permits, including your home courts where those rights apply. These terms do not require an EU consumer to litigate only in Spain.
If a provision is invalid, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law. We will not replace an invalid provision with one that reduces a mandatory consumer right. Apple is not responsible for operating our hosted service; its own obligations under its purchase terms and the standard EULA remain unaffected.
